HDF School of Management celebrated its annual cultural function, PaRaB-2010. “Go Green” was the theme for this year. Partcipants from different colleges like BIMIT, Ravenshaw, BJB etc. partcipated in several sports and managerial events. The three day celebration starting from 25th till 27th March, 2010 witnessed some heart beating and nail biting performances. The different events were Biz Quiz, Ad Mad, Mock Press, Caption Writing, Nano Business, Collaging, Sand Race, Tug of War, Volleyball, Cricket, Badminton, Nano Business etc. It was a great platform for academic and cultural exchange among the students.

The theme “Go Green” was continuously being reminded to the audiences. On this occasion the students urged the audience to plant trees, not to use polythene bags, turning off the fans and lights when not in use etc. Welcome address was given by Prof Haribandhu Panda, Director, HDF School of Management (HDFSOM) followed by a speech by Mr D.K.Roy, Executive Director, HDF. The Chairman of the institute Dr. Dhanada Kant Mishra encouraged the students to be creative and innovative. Secretary of HDF, Mr. Sudarsan Das also enthused lots of energy among the young masses. Chief Guest of the evening, Dr. Bhagban Prakash and Chief Speaker Col K Chaturbedi, Former DDG–NCC  and Treasurer, Mr. Harekrushna Panigrahi advised the students with their valuable and encouraging words.

On this auspicious occasion HDF Alumni Association was inaugurated. Mr. Biswa Ranjan Pradhan, Ms Deeparani Dash and Ms. Anuradha Saha were selected by the students as The President, The Secretary and the Treasurer of the HDF Alumni Association. The different State Coordinators such as Mr Bablu Sharma for Assam, Ms Richa Sen for West Bengal, Mr. Amit Kumar for Bihar, Mr. Chandan Singh of Jharkhand were selected on this occasion. The HDF Alumni have taken a bigger responsibility to carry forward the culture of the HDF to the society. PaRaB 2010 ended with happy notes followed by a fashion parade by the students. The management promised the students to revive PaRaB in the forthcoming year with another social awareness theme. It was clearly seen that here are the students, who are going to be great managers with humane heart.
