Admission
The
institute offers the post graduate diploma in
management (PGDM) a two year full time
residential program for graduate students from
all disciplines interested to choose a career in
management. The program will commence on 18th
June 2012. The procedure for admission of
students is discussed bellow.
Intake
The School will admit 120 students in PGDM for
2012 - 14 Batch.
Eligibility
Any graduate with a minimum of 15 years
(10+2+3) of education and having minimum 50%
aggregate in total marks (or equivalent CGPA) in
graduation can apply. The percentage of
aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the
practice followed by the concerned university /
institution from where the candidate has
obtained the degree. In case the university /
institution does not have any scheme for
converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the
equivalence would be established by the School
by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum
possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with
100.
Selection Criteria
The candidates applying to HDF School of
Management need to appear at least one of the
all India entrance examinations (such as CAT,
XAT, MAT, IRMA Test and ATMA) or Odisha JEE.
Based on the candidates’ score in one of the
above tests, short listing will be done. The
short listed candidates will be invited for
essay writing, group discussion and personal
interview at different locations viz;
Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Patna, Ranchi
and Guwahati. Merit list of the candidates will
be prepared based on their scores in CAT / XAT /
MAT / IRMA TEST / ATMA / Odisha JEE, essay
writing, group discussion and personal interview
and academic achievement. The weightage will be
respectively 60%, 10%, 15%, 10% and 5%.
Admission Procedure
Successful candidates will be intimated of their
final selection through admission offer letter
containing the terms and condition of admission.
For
the offer to be valid, the selected candidates,
after going through the contents of admission
offer letter, need to confirm and accept the
offer with the terms and conditions through an
`Acceptance Letter" along with a demand draft
for Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand
only) drawn in favour of "HDF School of
Management", payable at Bhubaneswar towards the
admission fees. The admission fees so deposited
will not be refunded under any circumstances.
All the candidates who have been offered
admission have to pay the fees within the due
date as stipulated in the admission offer
failing which they would forfeit their seat to
the candidate next on the waiting list.
Application Form
Application form will be available on payment of
Demand Draft of Rs. 600/- (Rupees six hundred
only) drawn in favour of "HDF School
of Management' payable at Bhubaneswar. Request
for application form may be sent to the
Admission Coordinator, HDF School of Management,
Bhubaneswar.
The application form can also be downloaded from
the website “www.hdf.ac.in”. Downloaded
application form should be sent with a Demand
Draft of Rs. 600/- (Rupees six hundred only)
drawn in favour of ‘’HDF School of Management"
payable at Bhubaneswar.
Application forms without requisite fees will
not be accepted. All correspondence related to
