Shri PV Rajagopal, Shri Ramesh Sharma and the accompanying
team from Kerala, Tamilnadu, and Andhra Pradesh. visited the
School on 8th February 2012, during ‘Jana-Satyagraha Sambad
Jatra” across the length and breadth of India.
On his hour long address to the students, Shri Rajagopal
emphasized on bridging personal goals with social values for
developing a better society that, leads to building a nation
far better than what we see it today in globalised economy.
He stressed on every one’s right over the natural resources
i.e. land, forest and water for survival and livelihood
which must be respected and protected at any cost.
Vehemently, he said that, in the name of industrialization
and development these resources are exploited; causing
miseries to many while greatly profiting a very few for
their own self interests. He reiterated Gandhiji’s word ‘the
world has enough to fulfill everyone’s need, but lacks
satisfying one’s greed’.
He concluded his speech with great admiration for the
academic ambience and serenity of the campus.
